Fall Training Team Programs & Benefits

The half marathon training program registration
has reached capacity and is now closed.

The 2011 spring half marathon FLEET FEET Training Team registration
will open in November and we hope you can join us at that time.

 Please join us for the 2010 Summer Speedwork through
Labor Day or at a social run beginning in September.
Both are free and open to the public.

Group training is a fun and motivating way to train for a full or half marathon!

With a variety of pace groups ranging from 8:00/mile to 12:00/mile and two run/walk group and walk-only groups (half marathon program only), there is a pace group for you!

Join the FLEET FEET Training Team for Saturday group long runs led by experienced half and full marathoners who are there to coach you along the course, provide pacing support, and answer your training questions on and off the course.

FAQs 

Lewis & Clark/Chicago Marathon Training – starts Saturday, June 5th

Marathon program registration is now closed.

The marathon program will prepare participants for the Lewis & Clark (10/3) and Chicago (10/10) Marathons. Long run pace groups* are offered for 8:30/mile through 12:00/mile, with groups separated by 30 seconds.

Participants must be able to complete 7 miles without stopping at a 12:00/mile pace or faster and have a weekly base of 15-20 miles when the program begins.

Lewis & Clark Half Marathon Training – starts Saturday, July 10th

Half Marathon program registration is now closed.

The half marathon program will prepare participants for the Lewis & Clark Half Marathon (10/3). Long run pace groups* range from 8:00/mile through 12:00/mile, with groups separated by 30 seconds. This program also offers two run/walk groups and two walk-only groups. The run/walk groups run consistent paces with fitness-paced recovery walks in intervals of 10 minutes run/1 minute walk and 5 minutes run/2 minutes walk. The approximate paces for these groups are a 12:30/mile and 13:30/mile, respectively. The walk groups cover a 15:30 and 17:30 “fitness walk” pace.

Participants must be able to complete a 4 mile distance and have a weekly base of 8-10 miles when the program begins.

*Group placement will be determined by current submitted race times, race goals, and a pace determination run the first day of the program. First-timer and experienced half marathon schedules are available, making the program suitable for those wanting to run their first half or full marathon or a personal best.

**Race entries are NOT included in the program price. For those training for the Chicago Marathon, the Lewis & Clark event is not part of the training schedule.
