Race Timing & Directing

FLEET FEET Sports has been providing race directors with timing and consulting services since 1993. In 2009, we provided fast, accurate results for approximately 40,000 race participants in over 60 events using the latest RFID “chip” timing equipment. Our equipment allows us to post race results while the race is still ongoing and post the final results on the internet immediately following its conclusion. We also offer services ranging from course design and management to pre-event marketing. We even offer “do it yourself” timing rental kits for smaller events.

Included Services and Equipment:

  • Pre-event advertising on our website and in our email newsletter (circulation: 45,000+)

  • Data entry of all race day registrants

  • Professional finish line, including FINISH banner and digital clock(s)

  • RFID “chip” timing, including all required timing personnel

  • Printed results delivered periodically during the event and to the post-race awards ceremony

  • Results posted online on race day

Optional Services, Supplies and Rentals:

  • Management of chosen online registration services

  • Packet pickup hosted at one of three FLEET FEET St. Louis locations

  • Course design, measurement and certification

  • Course marking (from equipment rental to full-service marking)

  • Start line timing system to capture net (i.e., start line to finish line) times

DO-IT-YOURSELF TIMING RENTAL KITS

For races expecting 300 or fewer entrants, we offer a do-it-yourself timing kit for $200. The kit includes all the instructions and equipment needed to inexpensively time and administer a race in an economical fashion.

  • Race clock w/ stand

  • Finish banner w/ 2 pole stands

  • Finish chute w/ flagging

  • Stringer set (for collecting pull-tags)

  • 2 printing stopwatches (for recording finish times)

  • Written race timing instructions

  • Brief training session (at time of equipment pick-up)

  • Results posted online

Optional Services, Supplies and Rentals:

  • Free-standing tents (10’ x 10’)

  • Small 12” cones (for pedestrian control)

  • Large 28” cones (for traffic control)

  • Spray chalk
